On farms where rat control measures have not yet been reassessed for the coming winter, now is a good time to do so before livestock housing is re-occupied and where grain stores are already full with high value commodities. And even where fresh measures have been taken, farmers are advised to be vigilant for an early influx of rats caused by recent heavy rain.
